During my experience while taking care of my grandfather during his battle with cancer I was convinced that the ill-fitting uniform scrubs made of scratchy fabric needed a major upgrade. I knew that my experience in healthcare and expertise in fashion and design, I could create a collection of scrubs that are comfortable and fashionable.

After my grandfather passed away I had a mission to finding my true purpose here on earth. “Helping those who need a healing hand and creating awareness.” With my expertise in fashion and my heart to help others why not combine my talent and passion to create a scrub line that is like no other. 

Sunshine Scrubs is dedicated to my grandpa "Papa Jo" and his favorite nurses who became family during his battle with liver cancer. Most people in his predicament would have complained but not him, he saw sunshine even through his trials, at the hospitals is where he found joy. Without the help of the dedicated and caring nurses, his battle with cancer would have been tough. I vowed to give back to the “angels” who helped bring him sunshine during a difficult moment. This is my way of thanking those who cared for Papa Jo and dedicating Sunshine Scrubs to him.
